The Mustafavi Sisters 3rd Tarbiyyah session of Itikaf 2025, led by Dr. Farah Naz, President of MWL Pakistan, focused on the profound topic of "Our Connection with Our Prayer Mat”. Students from across Pakistan participated enthusiastically in this insightful session.
Dr. Farah Naz presented a comprehensive and soulful exploration of the love, importance, connection, and relationship with prayer and the prayer mat. The session commenced with a Hadith Qudsi, emphasizing the importance of dedicating oneself to Allah, and the rewards that follow.
The core of the session revolved around the significance, benefits, focus, and conscious practice of prayers. Dr. Farah Naz highlighted that prayer is a great blessing from Allah, and strengthening one's connection with Allah during youth leads to an honorable old age. Prayer brings blessings, peace, success, and contentment to life, serving as a protective shield. She also discussed the negative consequences of abandoning prayer, including a lack of focus, hypocrisy of the heart, and chaos in life's affairs.
Furthermore, She elaborated on the benefits of prayer, such as achieving perfection in life through Fajr prayer and avoiding humiliation by bowing before Allah. She stressed the importance of praying on time, with focus and love. Conversely, she outlined the punishments for abandoning prayer, both at the time of death and in the grave, which include suffering from hunger, thirst, humiliation, and torment.
She concluded the session with practical advice on building a strong connection with Allah, emphasizing the importance of respecting and maintaining a clean prayer mat. She also discussed the state of the heart in relation to prayer, providing practical exercises for self-reflection.
