At the Women I’tikaf City 2025, the Mustafavi Sisters organized a Tarbiyah session featuring Mrs. Fizzah Hussain Qadri, who delivered an insightful lecture on the topic of Husn-e-Akhlaaq (Excellence of Morality). She beautifully based her lecture on the Quranic verse from Surah Al-Qalam, Ayah 4:

وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ

“And verily, you (O Muhammad ﷺ) are on an exalted standard of character.”

Mrs. Fizzah elaborated on the concept of ‘Khuluq’ (خلق), explaining that it pertains to one’s inner nature and habitual behavior, distinct from temporary emotional reactions. True Akhlaaq (اخلاق) manifests when virtuous actions and good treatment of others become natural and effortless, reflecting one’s spiritual and moral maturity. She referenced the teachings of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, emphasizing that Akhlaaq is a deeply ingrained attribute rather than mere actions.

Throughout her lecture, she highlighted the immense significance of good character in Islam, quoting various Ahadith that equate good character with continuous worship, emphasize its weight on the Day of Judgment, and identify it as a means to Paradise and proximity to the Prophet ﷺ. She stressed that virtues such as kindness, patience, gratitude, truthfulness, anger management, and the avoidance of negative emotions like jealousy and hatred are essential for success in all spheres of life.

Addressing contemporary challenges, Mrs. Fizzah acknowledged issues like toxic social cultures, the breakdown of family values, arrogance, professional ethics crises, and increasing intolerance among youth. She proposed solutions rooted in Islamic teachings, such as sincerity, respect, humility, integrity, and empathy, to navigate these challenges effectively.

In conclusion, she urged the Mutakif sisters to reconnect and strengthen their bond with Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet ﷺ, fulfill the rights of others with sincerity, prioritize inner beauty over outer appearances, and seek the company of the pious to guard against worldly distractions. She emphasized that realigning focus from societal pressures to embodying the Prophet’s ﷺ example is key to both worldly and eternal success, achieved through Tazkiyah-e-Nafs (purification of the soul) and nurturing a heart illuminated by Divine love, humility, patience, and good character.
