Al-Mu'takif can go outside the mosque building to attend the call of nature and to take an imperative major ritual bath, if the facility is not available in the premises. Likewise, one can also attend Friday prayer if the facility is not available in the mosque where he performs spiritual retreat. The same is true if he needs to attend a funeral prayer, if he made the intention of doing so as he started his spiritual retreat. But it is most important for him to return to the mosque of his spiritual retreat, as soon as the need is done. If the need for which he is out takes longer than half a day, it will break his spiritual retreat (so, it is also important to leave aside the need if it takes longer than that).
