The dislikes (al-makruhat) in spiritual retreat include the following things:

To adopt a complete silence. If one believes that keeping silent is an act of worship, in contrast with speaking in the course of al-da'wa, al-dhikr and al-nashid, it would amount to al-makruh al-ta'rimi (i.e., nearly unlawful). If one keeps quiet to avoid any useless worldly talk, it is an act of righteousness.

To involve oneself with trade, by bringing merchandise inside the mosque and selling and buying there.

Quarrelling, arguing or bad-mouthing.
