All is set for thousands of the faithful to join the Itikaf City under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International.
Sharing the details of Itikaf, MQI Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that the arrangements have been completed to take in thousands of the faithful who have come from all parts of the country to join the Itikaf City. He said that the chief highlight of Itikaf this year, like the practice of the previous years, are the special addresses to be delivered by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri after every Tarawih prayers.
MQI Secretary General further said that Chairman Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and President MQI Prof Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri would also give special talks in different gatherings. He said that more than 500 volunteers have been deployed to help the residents of Itikaf.
Chairman Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri visited the venue of Itikaf City and inspected the arrangements. He was also accompanied by senior leaders. Secretary Itikaf City Jawwad Hamid briefed the Chairman Supreme Council about the arrangements. He said that the food for Sahr and Iftar will be cooked according to the prevalent protocols. He said the top-quality medical services including a team of doctors, paramedical staff and ambulances would be available to the residents of Itikaf City round the clock. He said that the men would undergo Itikaf at Jame al-Minhaj Township, whereas the arrangements for women have been made at Minhaj College for Women.
Jawwad Hamid said that heavy duty generators have been installed to provide uninterrupted electricity to the Itikaf City so that the people do not have to face any disruption in the performance of their religious rituals. Dozens of the fans, he briefed, have also been installed inside the Mosque as well as in its courtyard. He further said that LED screens have also been put up to enable the residents of Itikaf City to watch the speeches of Shaykh-ul-Islam.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri expressed his satisfaction on the quality of arrangements and gave directions to provide maximum ease and comfort to the residents of Itikaf.
