Continuing with his special lectures on morality and good conduct at Itikaf City here in Township, Lahore, the founding leader of MQI Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that standing up to oppressor in aid of the oppressed is also part of excellent conduct. He said that if softness in individual matters is important, of equal importance is standing up to oppressors for collective good of the society. He said that one of the miracles of the Holy Quran is that sounds of its text also determine their meaning.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that if one has harsh and discourteous behavior towards people, even one's worship in the sight of Allah Almighty is not accepted as well. He said that both Satan and anger have taken birth from fire, adding that both are enemies of man, whereas forbearance and tolerance is the sign of piety.

Dr Qadri said that beauty of knowledge is tolerance, forbearance & softness practised by men of letters, further noting that if knowledge lacks these virtues, it is then useless. He said that Allah Almighty and His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) want to see Muslims excellent in manners as well as honourable in conduct. He said that Allah Almighty is Beautiful & likes beauty, concluding that cleanliness and discipline are the defining characteristics of Islam.
