Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri especially participated in the Iftar transmission Pak TV on the 22nd of Ramazan under the title of “The Guest of Shaykh-ul-Islam”.
While talking with the host of the programme Muhammad Usama Ghazi, he said that in his view the service of humanity was the worship and Deen. He added that the sole aim of his life was to love the humanity, spread the happiness among the poor, and benefit the people without any discrimination of caste, colour and creed.
While answering a question, Shaykh-ul-Islam observed that when he started the collective Itikaf 28 years ago, there were hardly 50 persons but now the thousands of people were participants of the Itikaf City, while noting that the underlying objective of organizing collective Itikaf gathering was to increase the collective consciousness of humanity.
“We leave no stone unturned in making sure that the residents who participate in the Itikaf City are provided the spiritual training as well as instilled with the strong passion for serving the humanity”, he remarked. He further added that if anyone who benefited directly or indirectly from him, he would consider it his worship and in fact this is the real spirit of our religion: Islam.
Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri noted that the bulk of global population is youth and there were thousands of young men who attended the Itikaf City and were so much impressed that they changed their life style and adopted the path of piety. Likewise the people who participated in the spiritual gathering of Itikaf City had forgone their decades-long family rivalries.
The famous columnist and intellectual, Dr. Ajmal Niazi; PPPP leader, Shoukat Basra; MQI Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur; and Sahibzada Hammad Mustafa Al-Madani also participated in the Iftar transmission. Thousands of residents of the Itikaf City were also the attendees of the transmission broadcast live by Pak TV.
